After the success Paralells and virtualization system that runs on Mac OS X, many users have realized the versatility and convenience of using a virtual machine to run an operating system within another. With the help of Qemu, you can use Windows on Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn on a fairly decent speed. The emulator uses a driver called kqemu is included in the latest version of Ubuntu.
The interesting thing about this emulation mode is also typical of the window where the host operating system, has implemented an almost imperceptible, which is to run applications in the virtual machine windows Ubuntu itself, it is as if the Internet Explorer is a native application for Linux.
Actually this is great and I must admit that I am nothing but Linuxero, little by little I am taking in this particular sector of the operating systems, especially Ubuntu. I take this post for help to Linux users, if anyone knows how to install Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn on a SATA disk (with Windows installed), please tell me that I do because I want to remove my current installation of Windows Vista and start to get along with Ubuntu.

Well I have two hard drives ....
An IDE (traditional)
One-and SATA
If necessary to install Windows and Linux ....
First install Windows on the partition more traditional (C) and then install Ubuntu in a different partition, it is important not to do the opposite and do not appear linux.
Remember that Ubuntu works with two partitions (swap) and (ext2), but do not worry just have a single partition and install ubuntu when you give the option that will automatically partition (ext2 and swap) and ready ...
after installation of a bootloader that allows you to start windows or linux ... ...
In my limited experience in linux and windows had more problems with SATA to ubuntu, for not recognizing what you need to install additional drivers ...
And the best thing ... is a Live-CD is not necessary to try to install it ....

Actually you do not give sata disk problems the first thing you have to do is find out if you delete guindows wx and if you do not want the program seeks to create magic partition and the partition deceas but if the truth does not matter your guindows then delete the haslo traditional way. First, get a boot disk that bring operating systems guindows 98 backwards then create the partitions you want but it is recommended that two linux is so powerful and aprobecha much space you do not have to leave plenty of room and with 3 gb you run great. then intala guindows because if you do the opposite the second partition that makes Linux more functionality you will damage the installation and then install linux on obcion use the largest free space and so have the powerful ubuntu on your computer. hoping that you choose to use Linux and leave behind guindows farewell Fanatico
