Google acquired Writely

Today it was confirmed that Google, Inc. has acquired Writely, a service for creating documents on the Web. Apparently with this transaction intended to attack Microsoft, who brought forth the version of Office Live, based in editing text on-line. Among the main features of Writely are: creating files in Word, Rich Text, HTML and OpenOffice, spell checker, to help bloggers (publication of files on the Web, among many others.

On page Writely is confirmed the news of the purchase. In turn, Google also confirmed in his official blog.
