Un blog puede ser una carta de presentación buena que indica presencia en la web, lo cual puede dar puntos a favor de una persona que está buscando oportunidades en el mercado laboral.

Y en la actualidad, hay cada vez más personas que hacen de los blogs, un trabajo, redituable en relación a la calidad del trabajo, como el caso de Eduardo Arcos e Hipertextual, cuyos blogs son conocidos ampliamente entre los usuarios de Internet de habla hispana y se han convertido en un símbolo de lo que puede ser el blogging como profesión, al grado de contratar editores para cada blog nuevo que lanzan.
